2025 Farm Share Baskets

Hey Neighbor Farm Basket Program

Invest in your health and a small business this year by committing to eating fresh food grown by a local farmer. Hey Neighbor Farm Basket features approximately 10-12 weeks of fresh produce and herbs. Baked goodies and preserves are also included when available.

Our baskets are perfect for 1-2 people to consume or store in a week.

Each week, you will receive 6-8 items, selected by Hey Neighbor, in your basket. This will include a variety of all-around favorites like beans, peppers, and tomatoes, as well as unique items like eggplant and tomatillos. We grow several varieties of our veggies so you can enjoy your typical garden staples, but we may also include some Evil Olive tomatoes, cucamelons, or blue Hubbard squash! And, we always provide several recipes to help you figure out what to do with something you might not have tried before. When in season, we include fruit from our orchard (apples, gooseberries, mulberries, pears, or plums), as well as any farms we visit (Michigan blueberries or Georgia Peaches).

By committing to the Farm Basket program, you are investing in the future of sustainable farming. At Hey Neighbor Farm, we are committed to creating and maintaining a system that uses small-scale practices, provides habitats for our pollinators, builds strong soil, and respects whatever Mother Nature throws at us. This means if a particular crop fails due to weather or other unplanned circumstances, it might not be available to members throughout the season. The good news is we grow so many varieties of crops, there will always be something fresh and wonderful in your basket to enjoy. And, if we are blessed with a bumper crop of anything, you will reap those rewards right along with us.

We do not collect your fees for the program up front (this is different from many cooperative farm shares). Instead, we collect payment each week to allow for budgeting on your end and flexibility in the growing season on our end. We will let you know at least 2 weeks ahead of the anticipated start date and will give you a heads up on the approximate end date of the season.

Farm Share Baskets will start June and will be available for pickup at Hey Neighbor Farm in Waterford on designated days. Delivery is available for an additional fee. Cost is $25 per week if you are picking up and $30 per week if you need it delivered (within Racine County).
